  • Flatbed Trailers: Lower main beams (200–400mm) for optimal cargo deck height.
  • Skeleton Trailers: Taller beams (500–800mm) to align with container twist locks (standard saddle height: 1,100–1,300mm).

2. Main Beam Thickness & Material Selection

• High-Strength Steel: We use Q345 & Q550 steel for superior yield strength, allowing thinner plates while maintaining structural integrity.

• Layered Design:
  • Upper/Lower Flanges (8–16mm): Handle tensile & compressive stresses.
  • Web Plates (6–12mm): Resist shear forces, often reinforced with longitudinal stiffeners to prevent buckling.
